Aditya Raut Completes Three Channels Within 25 Days -- October 1, 2009
PUNE, India, October 1. ADITYA Raut, 16, reportedly became the first person to cross nine channels in nine countries spanning five continents when he completed three channel crossings in a row this summer.
During a 25-day span beginning July 26 and ending August 19, Raut finished the 26k Swiss Channel (9 hours, 14 minutes), 18K Gibraltar Strait Channel (3 hours, 26 minutes) and the 42K British Channel (14 hours, 55 minutes).
Previously, Raut completed the Dharamtar Two-Way in Mumbai, India, Cook Street in New Zealand, Robin Island and Dog Leg in South Africa, Toroneous Gulf in Greece and Catalina Channel in the U.S.
