The Morning Swim Show, Sept. 17, 2009: Reports from Day One at 2009 USAS Convention

CHICAGO, Illinois, September 17. THE Morning Swim Show brings you the first of four video reports from the United States Aquatic Sports convention with a look inside open water swimming, synchronized swimming and diving.

Host Garrett McCaffrey opens the show with an interview with world championships bronze medalist Fran Crippen, who talks about the challenges and opportunities facing open water swimming in this quadrennium. Two members of the 1996 US Olympic synchronized team, Nathalie Bartleson & Becky Dyroen-Lancer, talk about the scoring changes in the sport and former USAS President Tom Gompf details the four days of work at the convention.
