Amanda Beard Welcomes Son Blaise Ray Brown -- September 16, 2009
LOS ANGELES, California, September 16. U.S. Olympian Amanda Beard welcomed her first son into this world yesterday as Blaise Ray Brown was born at 10:50 a.m., according to People.
Blaise is the first son of Beard and husband Sacha Brown. Blaise was 7 lbs, 12 oz. and 19 ¾ inches long at birth.
"I was in labor for about 16 hours and it was all worth it. He is happy and healthy and everything went as planned," Beard told People. "It was the most amazing experience that Sacha and I have ever experienced. We are so happy to be new parents! This is gonna be the best adventure ever."
Beard will be back in the pool training for the 2012 London Games sometime next year.
