Matt Lowe, Dale Rogers, Jackie Vavrek Win Three-On-Three Swimming Tournament

AUSTIN, Texas, September 9. RunTex Fish out of Water (former University of Texas swimmer, Matt Lowe, and University of Wisconsin alums Dale Rogers and Jackie Vavrek) teamed up to win the World Championship of Texas 3-on-3 Swimming Tournament, presented by The Money Box. RunTex Fish out of Water bested the field of 22 3-person teams in the inaugural double-elimination, bracketed tournament. RunTex beat Chips & Salsa (former Duke swimmer, Chris Cowger, and former Texas A&M swimmers, Mike Varozza and Scott Shipley) in the Championship Round to take the World Championship of Texas.

Each game in this 42 game tournament consisted of five individual plays (50 fly, 50 back, 75 IM [in any order – no freestyle], 50 breast, and 50 free) and two relay plays (a 3 x 50 freestyle relay and a 3 x 50 medley relay [in any order – no freestyle]). Teams went head to-head with one swimmer in each individual play and all three swimmers swimming the relays.
