ROME, Italy, July 25. DIVING at the FINA World Championships came to a close with China claiming the men's 10-meter platform synchronized world title in Rome.

Huo Liang and Lin Yue totaled an incredible 482.58 points to win the gold medal for China. The tandem put together several amazing dives, earning 10s from judges 11 times over the course of the six-dive list. The duos first dive might have only scored 58.80 points due to the degree of difficulty, but it earned six 10s to start the pairing off right. The Chinese completed the rout with a 107.16 on the final dive.

David Boudia and Thomas Finchum concluded the most successful World Championships outing for U.S. diving since 1991 as the U.S. finished with four medals. The tandem tallied 456.84 points for silver and ended on a high note with a 98.04-point dive.

Cuba's Jose Antonio Guerra Oliva and Jeinkler Ernesto Aguirre Manso completed the podium with a bronze-winning 456.60 points. The pair sat in second before the final round, then fell to third with a 92.34-point dive on the final round to allow the U.S. to move up.
