June 23, 2009 Wow, I missed that one by Munoz, 22.4 50 fly. What does he go for 50 free? Submitted by: liquidassets
June 23, 2009 Munoz Perez's 50 free pr is a 22.21 from the semis of the Spansh Nationals/WCTs in early Arpil.
He went 22.31 in finals.
His time makes him the 65th-fastest performer all-time but that's a bit misleading as there are inumerable ties by swimmers throuhout the list to the wr (but they're all separate people, not performances) so he 's tied for 65th-fastest performer.
(There may be four different swimmers @ 22.03 for exmple and three @ 22.14 but all of those seven performances are the swimmer's pr for the event.)
22.21 is probably not in Top 200 performances all-time but with the new suits guys who couldn't crack 23 flat before are going 21 low now!
NO names need be mentioned in connection with the above but do the initials "FB" and "AB" and "AL" ring any bells?
The 50 free Spanish record is 22.08 by Javier Noriega.
Give Jager, Rowdy and Matt Biondi 25 years back the new suits and they'd ALL b e going 20 low and 45 lcm!!! Submitted by: slickwillie32
