June 14, 2009 Hmm... not sure where Peirsol is in his training, anyone know? It looks like there will probably be several guys under his 100 back time at Santa Clara tonite. But he always pulls through when it counts; obviously ya never count him out of anything!!

June 14, 2009 Not sure where Peirsol is in training but he is one of those who doesn't overdue it unless needed. He didn't have much competition at this meet, remember he was 53.3 a few weeks ago in Charlotte when racing Phelps, Thoman and Lochte.

June 14, 2009 When he swam the 53.3 in Charlotte, he was wearing an X-Glide - had to have done something. Not quite sure if he was wearing the most advanced Arena suit (no clue what it's called!) or just a brief or something.

June 14, 2009 Ugh, I hate having to sort out the suit thing. I"m watching a tape now of Charlotte on KNBCS; some great swims. I also didn't realize Amanda Weir went 54.06 there; she was quite a bit slower at Santa Clara this weekend....
