Golden Bear: Laszlo Cseh Sets Meet Record

ZAGREB, Croatia, June 6. LASZLO Cseh started off the Golden Bear meet strong with a meet record in the men's 200 free over long course meters. The meet is held in Zagreb, Croatia.

Cseh clocked a 1:48.95 to break his meet standard of 1:49.05. Dominik Kozma finished second in 1:51.58 with Norbert Kovacs taking third in 1:52.18.

Sanja Jovanovic began the night with a 28.55 to win the women's 50 back. Katy Sexton took second in 29.98 with Lidija Franic placing third in 30.66. Thomas Rupprath followed with a 25.99 in the men's 50 back for the win. Gordan Kozulj touched second in 26.18, while Roko Simunic finished third in 26.82.

Elspa Morkore held off Vivien Kadas, 2:03.00 to 2:03.31, for the women's 200 free title. Anja Trisic wound up third in 2:05.50.

Gabrijela Korac won the women's 100 breast by a second over Lana Dragojevic, 1:13.72 to 1:14.72. Vanessza Balogh placed third in 1:14.82. Daren Mew touched out James Gibson, 1:02.16 to 1:02.26, for the men's 100 breast title. Sasa Gerbec earned third in 1:04.48.

Eszter Dara cleared 1:00 in the women's 100 fly with a winning time of 59.23, while Adrijana Bencic (1:03.89) and Ana Radic (1:05.81) finished well behind her. Dominik Straga captured the men's 100 fly in 53.51 with Igor Marchenko taking second in 53.82. Mario Todorovic placed third in 53.91 with Cseh taking fourth in 54.70.

Jovanovic returned for a second backstroke triumph when she touched in 2:18.57 in the 200 back. Mabel Sulic took second in 2:21.20 with Boglarka Balogh taking third in 2:24.30. Peter Bernek then snatched the men's 200 back in 2:01.31 with Kozulj placing second in 2:04.85. Mateo Muzek clinched third in 2:07.89.

Morkore picked up her second victory of the night with a 2:21.26 in the women's 200 IM. Nikolina Sabo touched second in 2:24.95 with Meri Cizmar rounding out the top three in 2:26.99. Cseh earned his second conquest of the night with a 2:01.59 in the men's 200 IM. Sasa Impric placed second in 2:01.59 while Peter Bordas and Niksa Roki tied for third with matching 2:08.67s.

Monika Babok won the women's 50 free in 26.11 with Bencic (26.73) and Line Praest Lauridsen (26.88) completing the podium. Meanwhile, Duje Draganja closed the night with a winning time of 22.21 in the men's 50 free. Mark Foster took second in 22.69 with Krisztian Takacs pocketing third in 22.97.
