Christina Loukas Named to ESPN the Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

BLOOMINGTON, Indiana, May 26. INDIANA University diver Christina Loukas was named to the ESPN the Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District team, the organization announced late last week. Loukas is one of 10 honorees from District 5 who moves on to the national ballot.

Loukas capped off her impressive Hoosier career this spring with her first NCAA title, taking home the three-meter crown with an NCAA-record total of 437.75 points. She also finished second on the one-meter and 11th on the platform to close out her career as an 11-time NCAA All-American. Loukas followed up that performance with national titles on the one-meter springboard and three-meter synchronized springboard at the USA Diving Spring National Championships in April.

She will travel to the FINA World Championships in Rome, Italy in July, competing on the one-meter and three-meter.

In the classroom, Loukas recently earned her degree in Exercise Science while maintaining a 3.5+ GPA, and is also a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection.

Loukas' name now goes on the national ballot, with the Academic All-America team scheduled to be announced on June 11.
