Kirk Everist Announces World University Games Roster for USA Men’s Water Polo

HUNTINGTON BEACH, California, May 26. KIRK Everist, Head Coach for Team USA at the World University Games has announced the group of 13 athletes and 2 alternates that will prepare for the tourney taking place July 1-12 in Belgrade, Serbia. The roster makes up some of the best in current and recent men's collegiate water polo.

Stanford's Jimmie Sandman and Loyola Marymount's Andy Stevens will be the goalkeepers for Team USA. The remaining 11 field players are Tommy Corcoran (USC), Jacob Murphy (UCLA), Zac White (California), Shea Buckner (USC), Trent Calder (Stanford), Collin Mello (UCI), Michael Sample (California), Matt Sagehorn (USC), JP MacDonnell (Pepperdine), Thomas Hale (USC), and Zac Monsees (California).

Cole Bitter (UCI), and John Mann (California) will serve as the alternates. If Mann is not selected for the Senior National Team at the 2009 World Championships he will move on to the 13-man roster.
