May 24, 2009 Katinka Hosszu's 400 IM time (4:33.88) is an Hungarian recrd, breaking the 4:36.17 of Eva Risztov that won her the silver-medal @ the 2002 European Championships in Berlin.
Hosszu is now 10th-fastest all-time wrld (performacnes), seventh-best performer.
In Europe she is now fourth-best (performance) all-time and third-fastest performer (second-best active as Yana Klochkova, who's tahead of her, has hung up her suit).
Great Britain's Hannah Miley is the current European record-holder off her 4:31.33 from British WCTs in Marh at Sheffield. She's first British woman to hold this reccord. Miley also set an ER in 200 IM but it was later broken by France's Camille Muffat at French Trials a month later.
Miley's 200 IM ex-Euro record is 2:09.59 while Mufat broke it with her 2:09.37.
Hosszu is now third-fastest ever in U.S. and her time is a Southern California Swimming Open/All-Comers standard too.
