Saratoga Breaks National High School Record in 400 Free Relay – Video Included

SANTA CLARA, California, May 19. OVER the weekend at the CIF Central Coast Sectional Championships, Saratoga High broke the national high school record in the boys 400-yard freestyle relay.

The foursome of Matt Murray (44.83), Ian Burns (45.45), Adam Hinshaw (46.35) and Ben Hinshaw (44.05) posted a time of 3:00.68.

That performance beat the overall national high school record of 3:01.80 owned by both St. Francis of Ohio and The Bolles School of Florida with matching times in 1999. It also surpasses the public school standard of 3:02.24 set by New Trier in February.
