LODI, California, May 18. GRANITE Bay reclaimed the women's state title with a score of 273 points, while last year's champions, Rio Americano, took second-place (234) and Davis finished third (226). On the boys side, Granite Bay overcame last year's third-place finish to win the state title with 306 points. Jesuit, the 2007 and 2008 champions, seceded with a second-place finish (258), while Davis placed third (197).

Girls Results
Swimming World five-star recruit Hayley Anderson (Granite Bay) won the 200 and 500 freestyles with personal best times of 1:47.68 and 4:42.46 respectively. Anderson will attend the University of Southern California in the fall.

Bella Vista's Alex Whitford won two individual events. In the finals of the 50 freestyle, she was the first of four to touch the wall below the 24-second standard (23.24). She also won the 100 freestyle with a time of 50.76.

Granite Bay won two of three relays, touching out Rocklin by nearly one-tenth of a second in the 200 freestyle relay (1:38.86) and closing the meet with a win in the 400 freestyle relay (3:29.34). Rio Americano won the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:48.43.

Seniors Jessica Robson (Franklin), Hannah Prigge (Whitney), and Molly Kearney (El Camino) were the top finishers in the diving competition.

Boys Results
Granite Bay took first in all three relays with times of 1:35.44 (200 medley), 1:25.51 (200 freestyle), and 3:07.59 (400 freestyle).

Although there were not any dual event winners on the boy's side, there were many notable first-place finishers.

Sophomores Wade Allen (Davis) and Trey Herbert (Nevada Union) placed first and second, respectively, in the 50 freestyle. Wade touched out Herbert by only one-hundredth of a second for a first-place finishing time of 21.26.

Beyer's David LaFlamme, a three-star recruit who will be attending California Polytechnic State University in the fall, bettered his personal record in the 200 freestyle. He clocked a time of 1:38.04 for the win.

Elliott Adams (Granite Bay) won the diving competition with a score of 475.90, while Kennedy's Hunter Smith took second (438.75) and Jesuit's Jake Crayne finished third (437.30).
