Esposito Sets World Short Course Record in the 200 Fly -- January 16, 2001

ANTIBES, Jan. 14. FRANCK Esposito, who finished a disappointing eighth at the 2000 Olympic Games, gave notice today that he still can rip one when he wants to, breaking the world record in the 200 meter (short course) butterfly during the French Team Championships in Antibes.

Esposito clocked 1:51.58, betting the old mark of 1:51.76 set by Britain's James Hickman in Paris in 1998.
