Pennsylvania AA High School State Championships

LEWISBURG, Pennsylvania, March 20. AT the Pennsylvania AA High School State Championships, the Oakland Catholic girls walked away with the state title. They won with 181 points, while Shady Side Academy took second (151) and Wyomissing finished third (143). The Hershey boys scored 269 points to secure first, followed by Bloomsburg (160.5) and Shady Side Academy (144).

Girls Results
Wyomissing opened the meet with a first-place finish in the 200 medley relay. Katie Duggan, Zoe, Sianis, Brianna Bentz, and Mary Moser clocked a time of 1:47.30. Moser also won the 50 (23.36) and 100 (50.82) freestyles.

Senior Breanna Folk (Schuylkill Valley) set a state record in the 200 IM with a time of 2:00.51. She also won the 100 breaststroke (1:03.04).

Natalie Domeisen, Alexis Georgiadis, Katie Vincett, and Margaux Georgiadis (Shady Side Academy) combined for a win in the 200 freestyle relay (1:37.03).

Ambridge Area's Lindsay Vrooman had individual wins in the 200 (1:47.60) and 500 (4:48.14) freestyles.

Domeisen, Vincett, Anne Marie Bilott, and M. Georgiadis closed the meet with a first-place finish in the 400 freestyle relay (3:33.41).

Catherine Rose (Allentown Central Catholic) won the diving competition with a score of 436.55, followed by Harbor Creek's Brittany Disanti (396.50) and Dallas' Mariel Adams (395.15).

Boys Results
Hershey won all three relays. Ben Hagan, Kyle Ruddle, Sean Grier, and Jeffrey Young won the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:36.80.

Sophomore David Nolan (Hershey) set a state record in the 200 IM with a time of 1:47.80. The previous state record was set by Eugene Botes (Garnet Valley) in 1999. Nolan also set a state record in the 100 backstroke (49.41).

Jordan Harris (Philipsburg OSC) won the diving competition (488.70). David Magaro (East Pennsboro) and Jared Scheck (Shady Side Academy) followed with scores of 471.85 and 444.00 respectively.

Nolan, Benjamin Bauchwitz, Nicholas Pawlush, and Young teamed up in the 200 freestyle relay. The quartet set a state record with a time of 1:24.97.

Mark Stephanian (Blackhawk) had individual wins in the 50 (20.86) and 100 (45.90) freestyles.

Grier, Bauchwitz, Pawlush, and Nolan closed the meet with a first-place finish in the 400 freestyle relay (3:08.57).
