Dayton Raiders Quartet Breaks U.S. National Age Group Relay Record

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio, March 15. LAST night at the Ohio LSC Short Course Junior Olympics held at Bowling Green University, the Dayton Raiders posted a U.S. National Age Group record in the boys 11-12 200-yard freestyle relay.

The quartet of 12-year-olds, Tommy Brewer (24.29), Kristian Berning (25.61), Patrick Mulcare (24.10) and Matthew Abeysinghe (23.50) put together a swift time of 1:37.50 in the event.

The swim edged the 2002 National Age Group record of 1:37.64 set by the Black Hawk Area Swim Team.
