Germany, China Lead Way at FINA Diving Grand Prix in Rostock

ROSTOCK, Germany, March 2. THE second stop of the FINA Diving Grand Prix occurred over the weekend in Rostock, Germany. China and Germany both did well as the two countries claimed the bulk of the medals on offer.

During the first day, China's Li Shixin won the men's three-meter with 486.15 points, while Russia's Yulia Koltunova grabbed the women's platform title with 331.00 points.

Patrick Hausding and Sascha Klein of Germany followed during day two with a winning effort of 444.12 on the men's synchronized platform, while Qu Lin of China claimed the women's three-meter with 339.65 points.

The final day of diving featured three events. Meaghan Benfeito and Roseline Filion of Canada won the women's synchronized platform with 312.30 points, while Li and Wu Minghong of China took the men's synchronized three-meter event with 421.35 points. Dong Jun and Qu of China then picked up the women's synchro three-meter with 311.10 points.

Men's 10m platform synchronized: 1. Hausding Patrick/Klein Sascha (GER) 444.12, 2. Su Huian/Xiang Yang (CHN) 432.99, 3. Kravchenko Aleksey/ Dobroskok Dmitry (RUS) 422.70.
Women's 3m springboard: 1. Qu Lin (CHN) 339.65, 2. Dong Jun (CHN) 326.40, 3. Dieckow Katja (GER) 292.20.

Day 3 (March 1)
Women's 10m platform synchronized: 1. Benfeito Meaghan/Filion Roseline (CAN) 312.30, 2. Chen Ni/Deng Lindan (CHN) 300.36, 3. Subschinski Nora/Moller Josephine (GER) 298.20.
Men's 3m springboard synchronized: 1. Li Shixin/Wu Minghong (CHN) 421.35, 2. Kvasha Illya/Prygorov Oleksiy (UKR) 386.07, 3. Roslan Rossharisham/Nee Yeoh Ken (MAS) 383.58.
Women's 3m springboard synchronized: 1. Dong Jun/Qu Lin (CHN) 311.10, 2. Dieckow Katja/Subschinski Nora (GER) 281.40, 3. Geurtsen Raisa/Janssen Iris (NED) 258.24.
Men's 10m platform: 1. Hausding Patrick (GER) 505.10, 2. Yang Liguang (CHN) 480.00, 3. Xiang Yang (CHN) 476.75.
