Pacific 10 Championships: Rebecca Soni Clocks New NCAA Record in 100 Breast

FEDERAL WAY, Washington, February 27. REBECCA Soni, the 2008 Olympic Champion in the 200 breast, proved she is just as strong in the 100, setting a new NCAA record in the event tonight. Soni touched the wall in 58.10, well under the old record of 58.41, set by Stanford's Tara Kirk in 2003.

Soni is the defending NCAA champion in the 100 breast and three-time defending champion in the 200 breast.
