Amanda Weir Breaks 13-14 100 yd. Free Record -- December 11, 2000

DECEMBER 11. AMANDA Weir broke one of the oldest NAG records on the books last weekend at the NSS 13-14 / Senior Meet at the Mecklenburg County Aquatics Center.

Amanda swam 49.53 for the 100 free, eclipsing the record of 49.65 set by Grace Cornelius in 1987.

Earlier this year, Amanda broke Dara Torres' 50 meter
freestyle record, swimming a 26.02 at USA Swimming Spring Nationals.
