USA Diving Names Teams for AT&T USA Diving Grand Prix, Canada Cup

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, February 13. USA Diving has selected its teams for the 2009 AT&T USA Diving Grand Prix and Canada Cup meets.

The AT&T USA Diving Grand Prix, set for May 7-9 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., will consist of 2009 World Championships individual event team members as well as an additional two divers per event. USA Diving will also send two divers per individual event to the Canada Cup, to be held April 30-May 3 in Montreal.

2009 World Championships team members who will compete in Fort Lauderdale are 2008 Olympians David Boudia (Noblesville, Ind.), Chris Colwill (Brandon, Fla.), Troy Dumais (Ventura, Calif.), Haley Ishimatsu (Seal Beach, Calif.), Christina Loukas (Riverwoods, Ill.) and Ariel Rittenhouse (Santa Cruz, Calif.), along with 2008 national champion Nick McCrory (Chapel Hill, N.C.) and five-time national team member Brittany Viola (Orlando, Fla.).

2008 Olympians Mary Beth Dunnichay (Elwood, Ind.), Thomas Finchum (Indianapolis, Ind.) and Jevon Tarantino (Boca Raton, Fla.) were also selected to the AT&T USA Diving Grand Prix roster. Rounding out the list of divers who will compete in Fort Lauderdale are Summer Allman (Lansing, Mich.), Kristen Asman (Columbus, Ohio), Allison Brennan (Huntington Beach, Calif.) and Sean Moore (Englewood, Colo.).

Synchronized teams for the AT&T USA Diving Grand Prix will consist of the 2008 U.S. Olympic synchro teams (subject to competitive readiness) and an additional team per event to be selected at the Speedo USA Diving Spring National Championships in Fort Lauderdale April 22-26.

USA Diving will send a team of eight divers to the Canada Cup. That team consists of Victoria Ishimatsu (Seal Beach, Calif.) and Abby Johnston (Upper Arlington, Ohio) on women's 3-meter, Michelle Cabassol (Montgomery, Texas) and Victoria Lamp (Knoxville, Tenn.) on women's 10-meter, Burkley Showe (Columbus, Ohio) and Ryan Helms (Moultrie, Ga.) on men's 3-meter and Drew Livingston (The Woodlands, Texas) and Harrison Jones (Spring, Texas) on men's 10-meter.
