Eastern Swim Classic: Katie Hoff Busy on First Night

ATLANTA, Georgia, January 17. DURING the first night of the Eastern Swim Classic, Olympian Katie Hoff had a busy schedule.

First, Hoff captured the 200 free title with a time of 1:44.09 as North Baltimore teammates Felicia Lee (1:49.31), Christie Raleigh (1:53.03) and Kendall Surhoff (1:54.64) completed the top four.

She followed with another victory, this time with a 1:01.50 in the 100 breast. Lee (1:04.60) and fellow NBAC swimmer Rachael Schaffer (1:05.05) took second and third.

With Hoff sitting out the 100 fly, Lee grabbed the title in 52.97 with Raleigh (54.34) and Surhoff (57.93) bracketing her for second and third.

Hoff returned for her third title of the night when she crushed the field in the 400 IM with a time of 4:04.14. Schaffer (4:24.18) and Jessie Krebs of NBAC (4:24.79) placed second and third.

In men's action, T.J. Leon won the 200 free (1:39.81) and 100 fly (49.27) with Alex Vance emerging with the 100 breast crown in 58.73 and Brennan Morris taking the 400 IM title in 3:57.63.
