PISCATAWAY, New Jersey, January 16. THE second day of long course meter age group swimming concluded at the CeraVe Invitational hosted by the Berkeley Aquatic Club on the campus of Rutgers University.

Girls 11-12 50 Free
Annmarie Picinich, 11, of Ridgewood YMCA started off the Age Group timed finals with a 29.84, a ZONE time, about a second faster then her seed time.

Kaitlin Stearns, 11, of Elite Swim Club, finished with a time of 30.26, just out touching team-mate Andrea Galea with a time of 30.30. Isabel Obregon of Jersey Wahoos Swim Club finished fourth with a time of 30.35. All top four finishers achieved ZONE times during their swim.

Boys 11-12 50 Free
John Nunez of AGUA won the race with a time of 27.84, while Elite's Zach Katz took second in 28.27. Badger's Liam Egan placed third in 28.71 as all three top finishers cleared the ZONE standard.

Girls 13-14 50 Free
Gabby Toback of Long Island Aquatic Club snuck in for first with a ZONE time of 28.90.

Sara Newstrowitz of Ridgewood YMCA touched right after Toback with a ZONE time of 29.04, and coming in for third was Long Island Aquatic Club swimmer Trudiann Patrick, with a ZONE time of 29.09.

Touching for fourth, fifth and sixth were Beatrix Panitz (29.16), Danielle Boothe (29.18) and Natalie O'Brien (29.40), all achieving ZONE qualifying times.

Boys 13-14 50 Free
Coming in first place was 13 year old Reo Mukudai of Badger Swim Club with a final time of 26.57 for a zone time. John Om of Ridgewood YMCA with a seed time of 26.99 and a final time of 26.58 took second for a zone time. Joseph Petrone of The Jersey Wahoos Swim Club placed third with a seed time of 26.83 and a finals time of 26.70.

Girls 10&U 50 Fly
Cruising past the competition by more then two seconds was first-place finisher of Westchester Marlins' Jamie Lee with a time of 33.50, a ZONE qualifying time.

Following Lee for a second and third place finish were Alessia McGowan of Asphalt Green United Aquatics and Ana Neff-Jendrasko of Coastal Maine Aquatics with times of 35.68 and 36.35, respectively.

Fourth through seventh finishers Isabelle Rivera, Hadley Chang Ackerman, Emily Gorham, and Madeline Kang all swimming ZONE qualifying times.

Boys 10 &U 50 Fly
William Crewe of Berkeley Aquatics won with a zone time of 33.79, while Cole Collier of AGUA finished second in 34.69 with a zone time as well. Eli Bogomolny grabbed third with a zone time of 35.84.

Girls 11-12 100 Fly
Jessica Arana, 12, of Long Island Aquatic Club touched for first with a ZONE time of 1:10.22, more than a second faster then her seed time.

Erica Silverman (1:12.52) of Westchester Marlins just out-touched Isabel Obregon (1:12.83) of Jersey Wahoos Swim Club to finish second and third, both with ZONE times respectively.

Fourth and fifth places finishes were claimed by Paige Kaplan and Tatum Lawson, both also achieving ZONE qualifying times.

Boys 11-12 100 Fly
John Nunez of AGUA touched out Zachary Towers of Long Island, 1:08.48 to 1:08.56. Zach Katz placed third in 1:09.45 for Elite. All three times cleared the zone cut.

Girls 13-14 200 Fly
Erin McElfrish of Lansing Cats easily swept the pool, finishing more then nine seconds ahead of her nearest competitor and swimming a new meet record. McElfrish clocked in with a time of 2:20.03, a sectional qualifying time, and a time that beats the old meet record by .16.

Lindsay Stearns of Elite Swim Club finished with a time of 2:29.60 to secure second, and Katie Duncalf of Westchester Marlins finished with a time of 2:32.41 for third. Both Stearns and Duncalf achieved ZONE qualifying times.

Touching fourth and fifth were Zoe Gregorace of Long Island Aquatic Club and Erin Barry of Berkeley Aquatic Club, both timing in with ZONE qualifying times.

Boys 13-14 200 Fly
Evan Coleman of CMA earned a close victory over AGUA's Diego Rueda, 2:17.30 to 2:17.65, to claim the title. Sean Lyons of Badger placed third in 2:19.41. All three times cleared the zone cut.

Girls 10&U 200 IM
Touching for first more than seven seconds ahead of the competition was Jamie Lee of Westchester Marlins. This was Lee's second event, and her second victory of the day. Lee clocked in with a time of 2:46.13, a ZONE qualifying time.

Finishing in second behind Lee for the second time this morning was Asphalt Green Unified Aquatics' Alessia McGowan who swam more than four seconds faster then her seed time, with a final time of 2:53.73, a ZONE qualifying time. Also achieving a ZONE qualifying time was third place finisher Lauren McNally of Long Island Aquatic Club with a time of 2:54.81.

Fourth through ninth place finishers Isabelle Rivera, Nadia Eguchi, Alice Ye, Ana Neff-Jendrasko, Hadley Chang Ackerman, and Stephanie Kaplan all swam ZONE qualifying times.

Boys 10&U 200 IM
Coming in first was 10 year old Mark McLaughlin of Bgc-N. Weschester Marlins with a seed time of 2:56.41. He cut off 4.06 seconds for a final time of 2:52.36, a zone time.
Coming in second and third were Cole Collier and Aristides Speres. Cole of Asphalt Green Unified Aquatics got a 2:53.62 down from a 2:56.42 his second zone time today. Aristides of Badger Swim Club got a 2:54.53 from his original time of 3:03.69. Both of them received zone times

Girls 11-12 100 Breast
Jessica Arana's second event of the day was also her second victory of the day. Arana, of Long Island Aquatic Club, finished with a time of 1:24.23, a ZONE qualifying time, more than a second and a half ahead of the competition.

Touching for second and third were Berkeley Aquatic Club's Alexa Buckley and Elite Swim Club's Andrea Galea, with times of 1:26.07, and 1:26.69, respectively. Both Buckley and Galea achieved ZONE qualifying times during their races.

Boys 11-12 100 breast
For first place, 12 year old Zach Katz of Elite Swim club posted a 1:18.38. His original time was a 1:18.91, so he shaved off .53 seconds, a zone time. Coming in second place was Takahiro Kaneko of Badger Swim club. Today, he posted a 1:24.02 a zone time
Coming in third is Chris Quinones of Asphalt Green Unified Aquatics with a zone time of 1:24.79.

Girls 13-14 100 Free
Gabby Toback's second victory of the day came when she swam more than two and a half seconds faster than her seed time. Toback touched for first with a 1:01.77, a sectional time for this Long Island Aquatic Club swimmer.

Erin McElfresh (1:02.08) of Lansing Cats finished in the top three again, edging out team-mate Natalie O'Brien (1:02.47) for second and third place, respectively. Both McElfresh and O'Brien swam ZONE qualifying times.

Fourth through ninth place finishers Sara Nestrowitz, Julianne Torres, Trudiann Patrick, Beatriz Panitz, Bridget Doherty and Molly Treble all swam ZONE qualifying times.

Boys 13-14 100 Free
In first place was 14 year old Evan Coleman of Costal Maine Aquatics with a seed time of 58.47. He cut off 1.54 seconds for a final time of 56.93, a zone time. Placing second and third were Joseph Petrone of Jersey Wahoos Swim Club and Reo Mukudai of Badger Swim Club. Joseph clocked a 57.05 and Reo posted a 57.17, both zone times.

Girls 10&U 200 Free
Lauren McNally of Long Island Aquatic Club led the pack with a 2:31.96, a ZONE time more then five seconds faster than her seed time, and almost five seconds faster than her nearest competitor.

Nadia Eguchi of Asphalt Green Unified Aquatics swam in for second, and Ana Neff-Jendrasko touched for third with ZONE times of 2:36.92, and 2:39.56, respectively.

Boys 10&U 200 Free
In first place was 10 year old Aristides Speres of Badger Swim Club. His finishing time was 2:33.67, a zone time. In second and third were James Simone of Badger Swim Club and Mark McLaughlin of Bgc-N. Westchester Marlins. James getting a 2:35.47, Mark getting a 2:37.71, both zone times.

Girls 11-12 200 Free
Jessica Arana of Long Island Aquatic Club is three for three. Arana swam just faster then her seed time to finish first for the third time this afternoon with a ZONE qualifying time of 2:17.51.

Following Arana for second and third were team-mate Cathy Tan (2:18.99) and Jersey Wahoo Swim Club's Isabel Obregon (2:19.80), both swimming ZONE times.

Fourth and fifth were clinched by Kelly Czochanski and Cara Treble, both swimming ZONE qualifying times.

Boys 11-12 200 Free
In first place was John Nunez of Asphalt Green Unified Aquatics. With a seed time of 2:15.45, he cut off nearly five seconds from his time, reducing it to 2:10.66. In second and third place were Liam Egan of Badger Swim Club and Zachary Towers of Long Island Aquatic Club. Liam posted a 2:11.80 and Zachary clocked a 2:17.68

Girls 13-14 400 IM
Erin McElfresh of the Lansing Cats secured her second win of the day with a sectional time of 5:16.25.

Following McElfresh, Joanna Han of Scarlet Aquatic Club and Daniela Suarez of Asphalt Green Unified Aquatics finished second and third with times faster than their seed times of 5:18.97 and 5:24.34, respectively.

Boys 13-14 400 IM
In first place was 13 year old Patrick Connor of Badger Swim Club. With a seed time of 5:07, he cut off nearly seven seconds for a final time of 5:00.23 both zone times. Coming in second and third were Andy Schuehler of Jersey Wahoos Swim Club and Diego Rudea of Asphalt Green Unified Aquatics. Andy clocked a 5:02.40 and Diego posted a 5:02.52 all of them Zone times.

Girls 10&U 50 Breast
Alicia Iizuka of Elite Swim Club clinched a first place victory with a ZONE time of 41.64, more than half a second faster than her seed time.

Alessia McGowan (41.94) of Asphalt Green Unified Aquatics swam in for second place ZONE time right behind Iizuka. Jamie Lee of Westchester Marlins touched for third with a ZONE time of 43.29.

Fourth through eight-place finishers Karen Iizuka, Stephanie Kaplan, Isabelle Rivera, Hadley Chang Ackerman, and Katherine Meyers all swam ZONE qualifying times during their race.

Boys 10&U 50 Breast
In first place was 10 year old Aristides Speres of Badger Swim Club. With a final time of 41.69, he got a zone time. In second and third place ere Cole Collier of Asphalt Green Unified Aquatics and Mike Tororella of Elite Swim Club. Cole got a 42.42 and Mike got a 42.57. Both were zone times
