The Morning Swim Show: "Nine Days of Beijing" Relives Olympics -- Day Seven Recaps Michael Phelps' Seventh Gold Medal -- December 29, 2008

PHOENIX, Arizona, December 29. THE Morning Swim Show is taking a look back at nine days of the best swimming in history with our year-end series "Nine Days of Beijing."

Day 7 of the series looks back at Michael Phelps' seventh gold medal in Beijing, which he earned by one-hundredth of a second in the men's 100 fly. Phelps' coach, Bob Bowman, talks about his emotions during that race and also gives some advice to coaches who potentially might have the next Michael Phelps on their team. Also featured are interviews with 800 free double gold medalist Janet Evans and 200 back gold medalist Melissa Belote Ripley, who talks about the moments leading up to her race in 1972.
