Paul Bergen Junior International: Morgon Henderson-Kunz Doubles

BEAVERTON, Oregon, December 13. MORGON Henderson-Kunz captured a pair of sprint titles during the second night of swimming at the Paul Bergen Junior International held over short course meters.

Women's 50 free
Heather MacLean, 16, touched out Kerstin Lange, 18, 25.41 to 25.54, to claim the splash-and-dash crown. Kaylin Bing, 15, completed the top three in 25.70.

Men's 50 free
In another exciting finish, Morgon Henderson-Kunz, 18, edged Chris Manning, 16, 22.65 to 22.75, for the men's sprint free win. James Goodway, 17, placed just behind in 22.88.

Women's 200 breast
Chelsey Salli, 16, downed training partner Bronwyn Pasloski, 16, 2:26.72 to 2:27.08, in the event. Rachel Nicol, 15, made up the rest of the podium in 2:28.35.

Men's 200 breast
Troy Arnicke, 17, cruised to victory in 2:11.78, while Jan-David Schepers, 18, touched second in 2:14.49. Christopher Dalen, 16, turned in a third-place time of 2:18.80.

Women's 200 back
In another close call, Paige Schultz, 17, touched out Lindsay Seemann, 16, 2:09.28 to 2:09.58, for the win. Deanna Matthews, 16, came in third with a 2:10.08.

Men's 200 back
Lucien Hasdenteufel, 18, dominated the finale with a time of 1:55.18, while Connor McCarroll, 17, finished second in 1:59.53. Braeden Newton, 16, placed third in 1:59.68. Notably, Anders McIntyre, 16, won the B final in 1:59.59.

Women's 50 fly
Melanie Henique, 16, topped the sprint fly in 26.73. Silke Lippok, 14, placed second in 27.16, while Vanessa Charron, 17, touched third in 27.39.

Men's 50 fly
Morgon Henderson-Kunz, 18, claimed another triumph with a time of 24.77, while Chris Manning, 16, took second in 24.84. Steven Ung, 16, snagged third in 25.17.

Women's 400 free
Haley Anderson, 17, pulled off the victory in 4:08.97, while Savannah King, 16, touched second in 4:09.78. Andie Taylor, 17, placed third in 4:12.31.

Men's 400 free
Raoul Shaw, 18, posted a commanding win with a time of 3:47.87, while Brandon Kingston, 17, finished second in 3:51.07. Chad Bobrosky, 15, completed the podium in 3:53.07.

Women's 400 free relay
Silke Lippok, Lena Celina Hiller, Franziska Jansen and Kerstin Lange won in 3:44.53, while Andrea Kostecki, Sasha Menu-Courey, Brittany MacLean and Heather MacLean took second in 3:44.78. Alexandra Gabor, Taryne Landry, Talia Benson and Olivia Montgomery placed third in 3:46.05.

Men's 400 free relay
Lucien Hasdenteufel, Jan-David Schepers, Riccardo Prietzsch and Joel Ax took the title in 3:18.28. Steven Ung, Connor McCarroll, Neil O'Halloran and Morgon Henderson-Kunz touched second in 3:22.80. Benjamin Christie, James McQuade, Grayson Repp and Anders McIntyre finished third in 3:26.34.
