Paul Biedermann Lowers 400 Free European Record

ESSEN, Germany, November 30. DURING the final day of swimming at the German Short Course Championships, Paul Biedermann wiped out the men's 400 free European record.

Biedermann clocked a time of 3:34.98 to claim the record as he swam mostly by himself with Manuel Schwarz (3:47.08) providing the closest competition.

In the men's 200 breast, Marco Koch set the German record with a time of 2:06.65, while Steffen Deibler claimed the men's 50 free in 21.30.

Markus Deibler snatched the German record in the men's 200 IM with a time of 1:55.69 for the final standard of the meet.
