Several German Records Fall at National Short Course Championships

ESSEN, Germany, November 29. SEVERAL more German records took a tumble at the German National Short Course Championships on the final day in Essen.

Both 200 medley relay standards fell. Dominik Keil (24.42), Hendrik Feldwehr (27.18), Jan Konopka (23.98) and Rafed El-Masri (21.37) set the record with a 1:36.95. The women's team of Daniela Samulski (27.18), Caroline Ruhnau (31.60), Julie Ann Webler (28.25) and Kristina Wibmann (25.79) posted a record time of 1:52.82.

Jan Wolfgarten clocked a national record in the 1500 free with a time of 14:34.24, while Felix Wolf set a national junior record with a 1:54.17 in the 200 back.

Steffen Deibler turned in a time of 46.67 to set the German record in the men's 100 free, while Samulski picked up a national record of 26.89 in the women's 50 back.
