Terrier Invitational, Day One

BOSTON, Massachusetts. November 21. THE Boston University swimming and diving program kicked off its annual Terrier Invitational in style, breaking three school records and setting two pool marks on the opening day of the invite. The women's 200- and 400-free relays as well as the men's 200-free relay were the record-breaking teams.

The men's 200-free relay touched the wall in 1:23.07, snapping an 18-year old record. Freshman Daniel Kempf led off, and he was followed by sophomore Matt Rickett, junior Arik Seiler and freshman Jackson Hill.

Sophomore Kristen Tullis opened the women's 200-free relay with a 23.86 split and junior Emily Munday took over on the second leg, followed by sophomore Maria McIntyre and senior Eve Kinsella, who closed out the race with a blazing 23.34 split. The team clocked in at 1:34.77, breaking the record by over a second.

The 400-medley relay squad of freshmen Francesca Ferrate and Kristen Connors as well as Munday and Kinsella, clocked in at 3:50.34, also resetting a school mark by over one-tenth of a second.

On an individual level, Kinsella took top honors in the 200 IM in 2:04.37, less than two-tenths off her school record in the event.
