The Morning Swim Show: Analyzing Cameron van der Burgh's and Peter Marshall's Futures in Swimming; Astronaut Mike Massimino Talks About Taking Phelps Cap to Space -- November 14, 2008

PHOENIX, Arizona, November 14. ANALYSIS of the newly-minted stars of the FINA World Cup and an interview with an astronaut with swimming ties are the focus of Friday's edition of The Morning Swim Show.

Host Peter Busch and Swimming World Magazine senior writer John Lohn talk about Cameron van der Burgh and Peter Marshall, both of whom set world records in Stockholm, Sweden, this week in the FINA World Cup. Lohn says van der Burgh's future in long-course and short-course breaststroke looks good, and thinks Marshall has a promising future after a disappointing swim at the U.S. Olympic Trials.

NASA astronaut Mike Massimino talks with Busch about his upcoming trip to outer space, which will include taking an autographed Michael Phelps swimming cap with him on the shuttle to repair the Hubble telescope. Massimino talks about the origins of the idea and what he might be able to do with the cap while in space.

The final stop of the FINA World Cup is previewed in the Meet Flyer, as well as Monday's Golden Goggle Awards in New York City.
