PHOENIX, Arizona, November 12. IN an interview in Swimming World's November issue, coach Joel Shinofield talks about developing his athletes at Washington & Lee University on three levels; personal, academic and aquatic. Shinofield helps his swimmers appreciate the privilege they have to swim and represent their university. This constant reminder helps maintain focus, and reinforces the need to make every day count
