Wyoming Girls 3A, 4A High School State Championships

GILLETTE, Wyoming, November 6. THE Jackson girls took home a win at the Wyoming 3A Championships. They scored 319 points, followed by Lander Valley (244) and Buffalo (169). The Campbell County girls highlighted the 4A Championships, scoring 385 points. Cheyenne Central and Cheyenne East placed second and third with 209 and 174 points, respectively.

Girls 3A Championships
Jackson had first-place finishes in all three of the relays. Claire Bates, Allison Flickinger, Jessica Gill, and Emily Smith touched in with a 1:57.95.

Rene Woodmencey of Jackson won the 200 freestyle (2:00.83) and the 100 freestyle (54.94).

Woodmencey's teammate, Amanda Fay, outshined her competition. She placed first with a score of 354.80.

Jackson's Maddy Wigg also had dual individual wins. Wigg took the 200 IM (2:17.93) and 500 freestyle (5:34.31) events.

The 200 freestyle grouping of Wigg, Cummings Rork, Jesse Mayers, and Woodmencey touched out the competition for a time of 1:44.05.

Wigg, Bates, and Woodmencey joined with Jaclyn Knori to win the 400 freestyle relay (3:47.96).

Girls 4A Championships
Campbell County had a first-place finish in the 200 medley relay. Brenda Bishop, Ashley Ochsner, Meghan Swirzcki, and Raleah Cisneros combined for a time of 1:47.97.

Senior TJ Padova of Campbell County touched in with a time of 1:51.68 in the 200 freestyle. She also won the 500 freestyle in 5:09.53.

Andrie Sasha, Padova's teammate, highlighted the diving competition. She placed first with a score of 358.20.

The 200 and 400 freestyle relays were both taken by Cheyenne East. Brenna Day, Dayna Hazlewood, Gabi Summers, and Alyssa Miller finished in 1:40.50. Miller, Summers, and Day grouped with Katie Cook for a 3:45.14 finish.
