The Morning Swim Show: Video Footage of Fast Swims at Arizona 4A High School State Meet; Mike Bottom Talks About Returning to Collegiate Swimming

PHOENIX, Arizona, Nov. 4. TWO outstanding swims at the Arizona 4A high school swimming championships and an interview with a new college swimming head coach highlight Tuesday's edition of The Morning Swim Show.

Host Peter Busch opens the show by bringing us video footage of the championship finals of the boys' 50 freestyle and girls' 200 IM from the Arizona 4A state meet, where Herbie Behm broke the 20-second barrier in prelims and Caitlin Leverenz took a shot at the 200 IM national high school record. He also recaps the fast swimming half a world away at the FINA World Cup meet.

In College Swimming Tuesday, Busch talks with Mike Bottom, the new head coach for the University of Michigan's men's team. Bottom talks about why he's happy to return to collegiate swimming, what kind of help he's getting on deck and why he's not focused solely on sprinters in his college program.
