Indiana University-Pennsylvania, Findlay vs. Wheeling Jesuit

WHEELING, West Virginia, November 1. PAWEL Glowiak won three events on the men's side and Melissa Kucharczuk and Brittany Watkins were double event winners in the women's competition to lead IUP to a sweep of Wheeling Jesuit and Findlay.

The women defeated Wheeling Jesuit 75-19 and Wheeling Jesuit 84-11. The men posted victories by scores of 52-43 over the Cardinals and 51-44 over the Oilers. The IUP men are 2-1 this season while the women evened their record at 2-2.

Glowiak won the 200 individual medley (2:01.05), 200 backstroke (2:04.43) and 200 breaststroke (2:19.84). Anthony Termin was the only other individual event winner for IUP, finishing first in the 500 freestyle in 5:04.40. The team of Termin, Walter Smith, Jimmy Yelinek and David Donovan took the 400 freestyle relay in 3:23.18.

In the women's meet, Kucharczuk was the winner in the 100 freestyle (55.44) and 200 freestyle (1:59.42) and also swam a leg on the winning team in the 400 medley relay along with Casey Beck, Kate Rowe and Galit Regev with a time of 4:11.00.

Watkins won the 200 individual medley (2:18.20) and 200 breaststroke (2:35.06). Also winning events for the IUP women were Beck in the 200 backstroke (2:15.24), Kara Peters in the 1000 freestyle (11:13.65), Jen Price in the 200 butterfly (2:18.98) and Chanele Molano in the 500 freestyle (5:31.69).

Price, Peters, Erin Barbetta and Bethany Johnston won the 400 freestyle relay in 3:50.49.

Both IUP teams will compete next on November 15 at Lock Haven in a tri-meet versus the Bald Eagles and Kutztown.
