Five-Star Prospect Heather Holtom Makes Decision -- October 28, 2008

I chose Louisville because when I took my trip, I felt at home.
CHARLOTTE, North Carolina, October 28. SWIMMING World five-star prospect Heather Holtom has made her collegiate decision.

Holtom, who swims for David Marsh at SwimMAC-Carolina, made Arthur Albiero of Louisville a happy camper when she chose to be a Cardinal. Holtom has U.S. Olympic Trials cuts in the 100-meter breast (1:11.37) and 200-meter breast (2:35.27).

"I chose Louisville because when I took my trip, I felt at home," Holtom told Swimming World. "The team and coaches were so supportive of each other and I really feel that they will improve my swimming abilities. They are also interested in developing the person, not just the swimmer. I'm excited to be a Cardinal!"

Holtom previously was featured by Swimming World in its College Recruit Rankings Profile series. Holtom is the first public pledge for Louisville.
