Christian Sprenger, Marieke Guehrer Remain in Points Lead in World Cup

LAUSANNE, Switzerland, October 28. AUSTRALIANS Christian Sprenger and Marieke Guehrer remained in the points lead after the third stop of the FINA World Cup in Sydney.

Sprenger owns 55 total points, while countrymen Matt Jaukovic (45 points) and Robert Hurley (40 points) turned up the heat with a pair of world records to give Sprenger something to think about.

Guehrer, meanwhile, might look to only have Berlin to worry about, where points are doubled, as she has 75 points for the lead. South Africa's Kathryn Meaklim and Sweden's Therese Alshammar, the 2007 World Cup winner, are tied for second with 29 points.

The next stop of the circuit is in Singapore this weekend, Nov. 1-2.
