Meet of the Week: Baldwin-Wallace at Wheeling Jesuit

WHEELING, West Virginia, October 18. IN a SwimmingWorldMagazine.com Meet of the Week, Baldwin-Wallace emerged from Wheeling Jesuit with a pair of dual meet victories. BWC's men topped WJU, 116-89, while the women won, 118-79.

Vince Colwell led the way for Baldwin-Wallace in the men's meet with a title trifecta. First, he lead off the 200 medley relay team of Colwell, Roman Koval, Matt Diamond and Ryan Musille for the win in 1:42.03. He also swept the sprint freestyle events with wins in the 50 free in 22.82 and the 100 free in 50.52.

Sergio Bracamontes was the top swimmer for WJU as he doubled up during the meet. He walked away with triumphs in the 200 free (1:53.51) and 100 fly (56.41).

For the women, Kelsie Baker, Kate Ritchey and Tara Stitzlein all captured three titles each for Baldwin-Wallace.

The trio members were each part of the two relay wins. Katie Cvelbar, Baker, Ritchey and Stitzlein won the 200 medley relay in 2:03.40, while Ritchey, Stitzlein, Kelley Likes and Baker grabbed the 200 free relay victory in 1:51.02.

Baker's individual win came in the 100 free (59.78), while Ritchey claimed the crown in the 50 free (26.77). Stitzlein, meanwhile, touched first in the 100 breast (1:18.51).

For Wheeling Jesuit, Ali Hengesbach and Chelsea Guiseppi both won a pair of titles to lead their squad.

Hengesbach hit the wall first in the 1000 free (11:42.15) and 500 free (5:45.23), while Guiseppi captured the 200 IM (2:24.44) and 100 back (1:05.92).
