She is extremely excited about the academic and athletic challenges that await her over the next few years. GREENVILLE, North Carolina, October 6. SWIMMING World five-star sprint free prospect Lauren Perdue pledged her services for the next four years over the weekend.
Yesterday, Perdue committed to spend her college career at the University of Virginia, giving the Cavaliers a solid freestyle swimmer starting next season. Perdue currently owns four times that clear the U.S. Olympic Trials standard. She's posted top times in the 50-meter free (26.10), 100-meter free (56.36), 200-meter free (2:01.66) and 400-meter free (4:16.96).
Perdue is also a two-time National Junior Team member.
"She is extremely excited about the academic and athletic challenges that await her over the next few years," Greenville Swim Club head coach Casey Charles told Swimming World.
