Date and Time: Friday, October 10 at 1 p.m. EST
Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Facility: UNO Aquatic Center

Incarnate Word's Last Time Out:
Incarnate Word won the women's title and took runnerup among the men at the Texas-Permian Basin Invitational.

Incarnate Word's women collected 919 points, while Permian Basin took second with 563 points. McMurry finished third with 372 points, while Austin placed fourth with 253 points.

Among the men, Incarnate Word finished second to Permian Basin, 873-789. McMurry took third with 378.5 points, while Austin grabbed fourth with 153.5 points.

Looking forward with Incarnate Word's head coach Phillip Davis:
I am looking forward to this meet since it will be the first time Randy and I have competed against each other. We did compete for several years as assistant coaches but this will be the first as the heads. The University of New Orleans is a fully-funded Division I program and Randy's team should be competitive very quickly. We are excited to take our teams to a good meet with really good competition. This will be a test for us and it is a chance to travel over to New Orleans and to get out of our comfort zone.

New Orleans' Last Time Out:
The women have not competed yet this year, but the New Orleans' men's team fell to Stanford 196-63 in Baton Rouge, La. The newly-reconstituted squad broke seven school records during the meet, as those standards had been around since the program's four-year run from 1988-92.

Mark Schindler lead the Privateers with a pair of individual school records as well as a third as part of a relay. Schindler posted time of 2:11.28 in the 200 breast and 2:01.70 in the 200 IM. He also leadoff the 200 medley relay team of Schindler, Petar Petrovic, Birkir Mar Jonsson and Jake Van Roekel with a time of 1:41.42 for the school record.

Looking forward with New Orleans head coach Randy Horner:
This is an exciting time for our swimming and diving program. Both our men and women have had a few good weeks of practice heading in and it will give us an opportunity to see where we are at this point of the season. For our freshmen, this is a chance to get acclimated to collegiate competition. Most of our all-freshmen men's team got in the pool against Stanford for their first collegiate competition. Against UIW, we are looking at having about eight women make their collegiate debuts. Ultimately, the goal of this program is to have our best performances at the conference meet in February. This will be another step forward in making sure we are ready and able to accomplish the goals we have set forth for our program this season.
