California Alums Plan Nort Thornton Celebration -- September 19, 2008
BERKELEY, California, September 19. ON October 17, alums of California swimming will assemble to celebrate the career of Nort Thornton.
The intent of the celebratory event is not only to honor the Thornton's tremendous career, but also to raise funds to create the Nort Thornton UC Berkeley Swimming Scholarship fund.

During his tenure at California, he produced two NCAA team titles and nearly 50 individual NCAA champions.
