Five National Records Fall at Israeli National Championships

NATANIA, Israel, July 27. A total of five Israeli national records took a tumble at the country's national championships held in Natania this weekend. Amit Ivri doubled up with a pair of national records.

Ivri broke the women's 100 fly standard with a time of 59.02. She downed the 2003 record of 59.41 set by Vered Borochovsky. Ivri also set the women's 50 fly record with a time of 26.36, lowering her 26.62 set in March.

Alon Mandel punched the pad in 53.61 in the men's 100 fly to break Nadav Kochavi's record of 53.88 from April.

Julia Benach claimed the women's 50 breast record with a time of 32.41. That effort eclipsed the 33.24 set by Daa Masarwa in 2006.

Anya Gostomelski snagged the women's 100 free record in 55.16, lowering her previous 2007 record of 55.46.
