Washington College Adds Bryan Ferretti, Sean Swanepoel as Assistant Swim Coaches

CHESTERTOWN, Maryland, July 16. WASHINGTON College head men's and women's swim coach Kim Lessard has added a pair of decorated Division I swimmers to her staff as assistant coaches for the 2008-09 season.

Bryan Ferretti, a 2005 graduate of George Washington, and Sean Swanepoel, a 2008 Penn State graduate, are the new additions.

Ferretti was an outstanding distance swimmer for the Colonials, earning his team's Most Valuable Swimmer honors in 2002, 2003, and 2005. A two-year captain, he was a four-time finalist in the Atlantic 10 Conference Championships and won gold in the 1650 freestyle at the Atlantic 10 Championships in 2003. Ferretti comes to Washington from the University of Rochester, where he served as an assistant coach. Ferretti has also served as a masters head coach and spent the summer of 2008 as a counselor at the University of Michigan Swim Camp.
