The Morning Swim Show: Mike Bottom Talks About New Coaching Job at Michigan; Cathy Wright-Eger Discusses Female Coaches in Swimming; Look Inside June Issue of Swimming World -- June 12, 2008

PHOENIX, Arizona, June 12. THURSDAY'S edition of The Morning Swim Show features an interview with Mike Bottom, who will take the reins as head coach of the University of Michigan's men's swim team.

Host Peter Busch talks to Bottom about the process taken to get the job at Michigan, as well as what he will bring to a team rich in history and how Jon Urbanchek will be able to help in the transition. Bottom also talks about his current duties at the Race Club and how he will stay involved with that program.

The show also features an interview with former Purdue University coach Cathy Wright-Eger, who talks about her mission to get more women into coaching.

The show concludes with a look inside the June issue of Swimming World Magazine, which features a preview of the USA Olympic Trials, a roundup of the short course world championships and an article on the new swimsuit technology.
