Austria Meeting: Slovenia’s Sara Isakovic Sets National Record

VIENNA, Austria, April 25. THE Austrian Meeting held in Vienna has some of the best and brightest international stars from the region, as shown during the first night of swimming. Slovenia's Sara Isakovic also added a national-record swim in the 200 free as the highlight swim.

Isakovic downed her national record in the women's 200 free with a time of 1:56.93. That performance beat the 1:57.45 Isakovic clocked last month in Eindhoven. Meanwhile, Denmark's Jacob Carstensen won the men's 200 free in 1:50.60.

Switzerland's Flori Lang wound up with the men's 50 back title in 25.68, just half-a-second off his national record of 25.18, while Austria's Fabienne Nadarajah claimed the women's 50 back in 29.88.

In the 100 breast, Daniel Gyurta of Hungary won the men's title in 1:02.42, while Mirna Jukic of Austria walked away with the women's crown in 1:08.36.

Michal Rubacek of the Czech Republic snared the men's 100 fly in 54.96, while Austria's Birgit Koschischek took the women's event in 1:00.43.

In the 200 back, Romania's Florea Razvan earned the men's victory in 1:59.08, while Denmark's Pernille Larsen touched first among the women in 2:16.25.

In 400 IM timed finals, Austria's Dinko Jukic hit the pad in 4:25.50 to win the men's title, while Slovenia's Anja Klinar surfaced triumphant in the women's with a time of 4:48.98.
