World Masters Championships: Three World Records Highlight First Day -- April 18, 2008
PERTH, Australia, April 18. THE beauty of nearly 80 heats of the 800 freestyle opened the 2008 FINA World Masters Championships held in Perth. During the marathon day of long-distance swimming, three world records fell.
The following world records fell during the first day of swimming:
Women's 50-54 800 freestyle
