Passages: F.A.S.T. Head Coach Kevin Perry, 56

FULLERTON, California, April 10. FULLERTON Aquatics Sports Team's (F.A.S.T.) head coach Kevin Perry has succumbed to a year-long fight with cancer at the age of 56 according to an article in the OCRegister.

According to the article:

USA Swimming recently awarded F.A.S.T. with gold medal recognition in the annual national Club Excellence program. The program is a voluntary competition among more than 4,000 USA swimming teams registered nationwide. The award recognizes clubs for their commitment to excellence in operation, performance and the support and development of USA Swimming.

This year, F.A.S.T. placed 15th in the final national rankings produced by the Club Excellence program

When Perry started F.A.S.T. there were about 45 members on the team. Its most notable former member was Olympian Janet Evans, winner of four gold medals spanning two Olympics.
