USA Swimming Sectionals, College Park: North Baltimore Aquatic Club Captures Another U.S. 13-14 National Age Group Relay Record

COLLEGE PARK, Maryland, March 16. FOR the second night in a row, North Baltimore Aquatic Club grabbed a 13-14 division U.S. National Age Group record at the USA Swimming Sectionals held in College Park.

Women's Meet
North Baltimore claimed another relay title as Jordan Surhoff, Erin O'Donnell, Rachael Schaffer and Kendall Surhoff won the 200 free relay in 1:51.98.

Kate Ziegler of The Fish then easily grabbed the 800 free crown with a time of 8:28.04, while GCIT Swimming's Joanna Thomas finished second in 8:56.19.

NBAC's Elizabeth Pelton grabbed the 200 back title when she hit the wall in 2:13.92 with GCIT's Emily Creran placing second in 2:19.36.

In the 100 free, Team Pittsburgh's Kristin Brown won by the slimmest of margins over Ashley Danner of Sea Devil, 57.31 to 57.32, while Emily Lloyd placed third in 57.50. Notably, Ziegler placed fifth in 57.95.

Danner rebounded in the 200 IM with a winning effort of 2:18.18 with Pelton finishing second in 2:19.24.

NBAC then snagged the 400 medley relay title en route to blasting the U.S. National Age Group record for the 13-14 division. Pelton (1:02.50), Jordan Surhoff (1:15.97), Camryne Morris (1:04.32) and Natalie Beale (58.03) clocked a swift time of 4:20.82. That performance destroyed the 4:25.31 set by Center Grove last year.

Men's Meet
Brown University's team of Brian Kelly, Kevin Hug, Reece Chandler and John Bailey claimed the 200 free relay in 1:37.07, while Tom Koucheravy posted a convincing victory in the 1500 free with a time of 15:30.85.

Chris Greenwood then grabbed the 200 back title with a time of 2:04.75, while Daniel Ricketts hit the wall in 51.68 to win the 100 free over Ryan Shea (51.89 and Eric Knight (51.94). Pat Mellors completed the 200 IM with a time of 2:02.47 to snatch the title.

Brown University finished the relay sweep when Kevin Hug, Conor Carlucci, Richard Alexander and David Koweek touched out teammates Ricketts, Ray Grant, John David Pinto and Brian Kelly, 3:59.34 to 3:59.36.
