Massachusetts Women’s Division 2 High School State Championships

BOSTON, Massachusetts, March 13. WAYLAND took home the Massachusetts Women's Division 2 Championship title, raking in 272 points.

Marblehead scored 182 points and earned the runner-up honors while Weston came in third with 167 points.

Melanie Pascal from Longmeadow cranked out two individual event wins, taking titles in the 200 freestyle (1:56.67) and the 100 butterfly (58.91).

Pascal's teammate, Sara Li, also nabbed two individual golds. The sophomore dominated the field in both the 200 IM (2:06.78), which she won by six seconds, and the 100 freestyle (52.18), which she took by two seconds.

Kristen Hehir of Wayland scored a 420.20 in the diving competition, which earned her the state title. Kimi Schmidt from Longmeadow snagged the silver medal (398.45) while Alison Graham of East Longmeadow placed third (352.30).
