USA Swimming Sectionals, East Meadow: Elizabeth Beisel Wins Four Again

EAST MEADOW, New York, March 9. A night after winning four titles, Elizabeth Beisel of Bluefish did it again to finish with nine golds on the weekend at the USA Swimming Sectionals held in East Meadow, N.Y.

Bluefish opened the night with a win in the women's 200 free relay as Alex Frasier, Alex Forrester, Laura Sogar and Beisel touched in 1:49.39. Their male teammates, Mike Ross, Sean Reams, Louis Arruda and Chris Rogers, grabbed the men's 200 free relay title in 1:38.35.

Agua Swim's Lauren Morford claimed the women's 800 free with a time of 8:48.40, while Sean Lean of Long Island Aquatics took the men's 1500 free in 16:02.17.

Beisel checked in with another title, this time with a 2:13.51 in the women's 200 back, while Ian Clark of Suburban hit the wall in 2:02.01 for the men's 200 back.

Kate Toth of Berkeley Aquatics stopped the clock in 58.25 to win the women's 100 free, while Peter Geissinger walked away with the men's 100 free in 51.55.

Beisel snagged her third title of the night with a time of 2:18.75 in the women's 200 IM, while Clark picked up his second with a time of 2:07.32 in the men's 200 IM.

Beisel's fourth title came by way of the women's 400 medley relay as Beisel, Sogar, Forrester and Frasier recorded a 4:19.60 for the victory. FAST's Ricky Henahan, Greg Danner, Todd Winchell and Jim Wood captured the men's 400 medley relay in 3:58.81.
