North Central Conference: Day Three

OMAHA, Nebraska, February 23. NORTH Dakota leads both the men's and women's divisions after day three at the NCC Swimming & Diving Championships. On the women's side, North Dakota has a 884.5 to 813 advantage over Nebraska-Omaha while the UND men have a 1079 to 800 margin over second-place St. Cloud State. The meet concludes on Sunday with two sessions.

Three records were broken during the day. The first record was set in the 500 freestyle when North Dakota's Brittany Jamerson and Nebraska-Omaha's Lindsey Kline battled stroke for stroke over the last 75 meters before Jamerson claimed the event in a new record time of 5:00.32, just .59-seconds ahead of Kline. Kline was involved in the only other women's record of the night when she swam the anchor leg on the 800 freestyle relay that had a time of 7:36.69. The other relay members were Ashley Barna, Cait Hopkins and Megan Guthmiller.

In the final event of the night, the North Dakota men's 800 freestyle relay team of set a new NCC mark with time of 6:47.95.
