Anastasia Zueva Drops Russian National Record in 100 Back

SAINT PETERSBURG, Russia, February 18. ACCORDING to a report by the Russian Swimming Federation, Anastasia Zueva took down one of the longest standing records on the Russian books in the 100 back over long course this weekend.

Zueva clocked a time of 1:00.09 in prelims to shoot down Nina Zhivanevskaya's national standard of 1:00.83 set way back on Sept. 7, 1994 in Rome.

Zueva nearly joined Natalie Coughlin, Laure Manaudou and Kirsty Coventry in the sub-1:00 club. Finals will tell the story if she can join them.
