Redlands Swim Team Sets National Age Group Relay Records

PHOENIX, Arizona, February 12. AT the Southern California Swim Section – Junior Olympics held at the Belmont Plaza, in Long Beach, Calif., last week, the Redlands Swim Team quartet of Joey Hale, Tyler Harp, Mike Perry and Karl Krug set two national age group relay records over short course yards in the 200 free relay.

Hale, who will be attending Arizona State, led off with a 20.60. Harp (20.72) and Perry (20.77), while Krug, who will be swimming for Auburn, anchored the race with a 19.85 en route to a combined effort of 1:21.94.

The time eclipsed the 15-18 and 17-18 records set by the Wilton Y Wahoos team of Phil Baity, Rob Hannigan, Andrew Trepp and Jeffrey Sudbury with a 1:22.64 in 2005.
